Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı visited the school for children with hearing impairment and school for children visually impaired in Çanakkale.

Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı who is in Çanakkale to attend the the 9th International Robotics Competition as part of the events to mark the 100th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory visited the school for children with hearing impairment and school for children visually impaired.

Minister Avcı also visited the Anafartalar Special Vocational High School whose two students with hearing impairment and a teacher drowned in a sea accident in the Spanish coastal city of Marbella in April while they were visiting as part of a project “creating vocational skills for handicapped people to secure them with employment.”

Minister Avcı offered his condolences to the students as a teacher translated his speech to sign language. Minister Avcı also learnt about the defects at the school and asked the school administrators to send him a detailed report to help the school. 

Minister Avcı also visited the Gelibolu Yahya Çavuş School for the Visually Impaired.

Minister Avcı chatted with the students and teachers and received information about the school from the administrators. Minister Avcı accompanied two students who played the weir and sung folk songs, later the Minister was treated to a mini piano concert by another student.
