Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı who arrived in the Central Anatolian provincial city of Eskişehir attended the events organized on the occasion of the Week of the Ahi Order at the Vilayet Square. The Minister watched the theatre play “Pabucu dama atmak” staged by the teachers of the Baksan Vocational Training Center.

After the play Minister Avcı attended the ceremony honoring meerschaum master Burhan Yücel who was declared the “Ahi of the Year” in Turkey. Avcı presented Yücel with a cloak of the Ahi of the Year while Yücel in return presented a walking stick with a meerschaum head of a ram.
