"In addition to the distribution of 150 thousand tablets and computers to students who need internet and computers during the distance education process organized in cooperation with local administrations, private sector companies and civil initiatives, the Ministry of National Education started the 4th phase of distribution of 500 thousand tablets. Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk announced during an online meeting with the Provincial Directors that a total of 313 thousand and 500 tablets have been delivered to students."

In addition to the distribution of 150 thousand tablets and computers to students, the Ministry of National Education started the 4th phase of distribution of 500 thousand tablets.

After making required controls, tablets are being sent to the cities. After the delivery of 66 thousand tablets last week, 47 thousand tablets will be delivered as a part of the 4th phase. With this new phase, delivery of a total of 313 thousand and 500 tablets out of 500 thousand tablets will be completed until the end of this month.

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk held an online meeting with the directors of provincial national education of 26 cities and stated that tablets are already delivered to 9 cities while transportation of tablets to 17 cities still continues and delivery of all tablets will completed by Sunday.

Stressing once more that the prior goal of the Ministry of National Education is maintaining equal opportunity in education, Minister Selçuk reminded that tablets are delivered to students who are in need within the framework of the planned distribution plan.

"These tablets also include month 25 GSM internet service that will allow our students to attend live class applications and use the EBA platform," said Minister Selçuk.

Selçuk stressed that the number of students using new tablets for following their classes are increasing every week and noted that the Ministry will complete the delivery of 47 thousand tablets this week.

"I would like to thank everyone who supported us in our goal to provide accession to education for our students. We will continue to take firm steps until we solve the accession problem of all students," said Minister Selçuk.

Selçuk reminded that neither parents nor student should apply for tablet distribution as the Ministry delivers tablets according to the distribution strategy prepared by considering certain criteria such as the income status of the family, number of siblings in school age, special education requirements and academic success of the student.
